PROTECT YOUR FAMILY WITH QUELL
House fires develop in different ways and are often unpredictable. As smoke alarms have sensing limitations, it is recommended that both ionisation and photoelectric smoke alarms be installed to provide maximum detection of the various types of fires that can occur within the home. Ionisation sensing alarms may detect invisible fire particles (associated with fast flaming fires) sooner than photoelectric alarms. Photoelectric sensing alarms may detect visible fire particles (associated with slow smouldering fires) sooner than ionisation alarms.

Replace Smoke Alarms every 10 years
Use Quell Long Life 10-year sealed battery alarms and never change a battery.
Choose the right alarm for the right location in every room and on each level.
Test alarms weekly. If using traditional battery-powered alarms, remember to replace batteries as needed, at least twice a year.
Place fire extinguishers on every level
Install close to exits, and in the kitchen and garage. Include all locations where a fire may start.
Check the gauge monthly to be sure it is pressurised.
Replace fire extinguishers that are over 12 years old or after use.
Install Carbon Monoxide alarms
Because CO weighs about the same as air, an alarm can be plugged into an outlet, placed on a table or shelf or mounted high on a wall.
Refer to the user’s manual for installation instructions.
